  • Earlier today, budget talks between House Republicans and the White House broke down over the amount of cuts. And now with just three days until a government shuts down – agencies are preparing to close the doors. But they’ve kept their preparations very secretive. What does Federal News Radio’s Senior Correspondent Mike Causey think?
  • House lawmakers seem to have heard the pleas to fund Data.gov, USASpending.gov and several open government sites that were expected to be turned off starting next month. The short term continuing resolution introduced Monday night includes a significant increase for the e-government fund. Federal News Radio’s Jason Miller has details on the one week CR.
  • If members of Congress want to see the Postal Service cut down its labor costs through union negotiations, it needs to change the law. That was one of the messages Postal officials delivered to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform today.
