State unveils new office for cyber issues

The State Department\'s Office of the Coordinator for Cyber Issues will focus on cybersecurity.

The State Department has unveiled its newly created Office of the Coordinator for Cyber Issues.

The new office is in charge of uniting State’s different cyber efforts so the agency can better serve America’s cybersecurity interests, Gov Info Security reports.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said she hopes the new office will help apply new technologies and find creative solutions to what she calls the department’s entrenched bureaucratic problems.

The new office is part of several reforms that came out of State’s First Quadrennial Diplomacy and Development Review.
